The town of Pino Torinese has received the qualification of "European town of sport 2011". "Sport, like music, is something universal, something that is understood all around the world, regardless of social, ethnic or religious differences. Not only sport is universal, but also its values..." (Jacques Rogge, IOC President) Thanks to what has been done in the past years by those who have managed and practiced sports, to the attention payed by this Administration, particularly with the organisation of the Sport Event, to the important work done and the results achieved by "Vivere Sport", to the aid offered by all those who have managed the sporting plants, on last November 30th the town of Pino Torinese has received, from the European parliement in Bruxelles, the flag symbol of the award that the ACES Commission wanted to assign to the town. We share this price with Valencia, the European Capital of Sport 2011 and with about 20 other towns in Europe. |

 The Natural Park of Turin Hill |
 The "Parco Naturale della Collina Torinese" was founded in 1991 in response to the need to protect and promote a well-preserved area of considerable natural, architectural and environmental interest. The park, mainly covered by the woods of Bandissero, Pino, Turin and S.Mauro, extends over an area of 750 hectares. These areas are managed by the Ente di Gestione delle Aree Protette della Collina Torinese, whose headquarters are in Castagneto Po. |
